The music on this album consists of soulful vocals paired with a driving guitar. It was recorded simultaneously in order to capture a “live” feel and allow the songs to “breathe”. The nature of her style is to sing as though she was breathing - changing speed and volume with the tone of the verse and emotion of the lyrics. Crooning at times and belting at others, the songs are dynamic on all levels.
Being that she wrote all these songs between the ages of seventeen and twenty-one, you might notice a sense of fresh-faced idealism in the lyrics. As she continues to write, it is becoming apparent this fact about her music may not change!
