I’m a Northwest girl at heart. After growing up in Washington State, I moved north to Alaska. Spent some time in University, spent some time working. Spent some time traveling and living in my trusty Ford Ranger or on the couches of generous friends and friendly strangers. When I wasn’t learning or earning my keep, I was either tying one on, relaxing or kicking around in the out-of-doors. Between stints in the Far North, I would find myself either back in Washington or in Canada. Writing music all along the way.

When I finally moved out of Alaska in 2006, I returned to my hometown. Upon my return I found I wasn’t writing a whole lot of new music. I thought perhaps if I laid down these tracks, it would pave the way for new inspiration. Within a year I had produced the CD. Though it didn’t have the effect I intended - inspiration gripping me and the songs flowing forth with unrelenting frequency - I ended up getting something more. See, as I was recording, the CD, I found myself not thinking of the abundance of music I would write in its wake or the boundless creativity I might enjoy. I found myself thinking of the faces of my friends sitting in the Coffeehouse, smiling back at me as I stumbled through each song for the first time. I thought about my family on the East Coast who would finally get to hear my music. I thought about the fact that I could conceivably touch millions of people at once through the miracle of duplication. And that’s exactly what I got. OK, maybe not millions, but even touching one is enough.

In 2008, I had a brilliant idea. After feeling how amazing it felt to gift over 100 CD’s to my friends and family, I knew this music was not mine to sell. It belongs to everyone who enjoys it. That year was my first year attending the Burning Man festival and I thought what better gift to give on the Playa than this original labor of love? ...and I gotta tell ya, gifting this music has been amazing.

I now live in Flagstaff, Arizona and am finishing my undergraduate work at Northern Arizona University. I attended Burning Man again in 2009 and plan to go every year as long as the money holds out and my college classes are not too adversely affected.

Anyway, thanks for reading and for visiting! If you’re ever in Arizona, drop me a line! Peace. )’(
